About Grand Master Bob Martin


Soke Grand Master Bob Martin, Founder and Chief Instructor of Unified Force Martial Arts

In August of 2010, the International Bujutsu Society – Kokusai Bujutsu Keesha certified Unified Force Martial Arts as a Martial Art System and recognized Grand Master Bob Martin as the legitimate Founder or Soke (Head of Family) of the system.

Grand Master Martin has been studying martial arts for over 50 years. His first formal training was in the U.S. Army in the early 1970's.

Master Martin was one of the founding members of the Zujitsu Federation under Soke Chaka Zulu. He's also the originator of the popular Zujitsu training exercise known as Nudging/Joint Manipulation. Advanced nudging techniques include Body Substitution Strikes and Locks. Master Martin also teaches Yang style Tai-Chi for health. He continues his Tai Chi studies under Dr. Christopher Viggiano, Shen Wu Dao. He also an instructor of "Mimchi" Qi Gung, under GM Sijo Floyd K. Mims Sr.

Master Martin is known for his motto of "WHATEVER WORKS" and teaches concepts and principles surrounding techniques. This enables the practitioner to create techniques that work for the individual.

Over the years, Unified Force schools have been located throughout New Jersey. Presently the main instruction locations are in The Villages, Florida area.

Master Martin is a 9th Dan in his Unified Force Martial Arts System. He holds a 7th Dan in Zujitsu-Ryu and a Brown Belt in Tae Kwon Do.

For over 30-years Master Martin worked as a television producer/reporter; covering many crime stories. From this experience he has designed Women's Self Defense/Self Protection Seminars for major corporations over the past 20 years including NBC; Pain Webber; CNBC; MSNBC and Reed Travel Group. He has also given instruction to the Hoboken and Park Ridge Police Departments in New Jersey.

Grand Master Martin serves on the boards of The World Karate Union; The Society of Black Belts of America; The United Fellowship of Martial Artists; and American Chi Kung International.

Hall of Fame honors include World Head of Family Sokeship Council; World Karate Union; Action Martial Arts Magazine; Legends Champion Martial Arts; International Federation Of Ju Jutsuans; Great Grand Master Aaron Banks World Professional Martial Arts Org.; SOBBA; UFoMA; Universal Song Do Kwon Alliance; The Philadelphia Historic MA Society; Gary Alexander's IAMA; World Headmasters Sokeship Council; and Combat Warrior E-Magazine.

Television appearances include Fox News & Friends. He has been featured twice over the years in the Jersey Journal. Soke Bob Martin has a role in the upcoming movie "Made in Chinatown" with a world wide release set for May 2021.

About the Patch

The UFMA Patch is circular to signify a never-ending cycle of development as a martial artist and a person. The triangle signifies the strongest structure known to man; a firm foundation for life; equally balanced on all sides.

The Patch Colors:

Green signifies the liberated mind of the martial artist; freedom to expand and incorporate one's training to better your life and those around you.

Red denotes the blood, sweat, tears and hard work the martial artist devotes to the improvement of his or her skills.

Blue (water) signifies the softness of water that has the power to wear down a huge mountain. One should be able to flow like water, bend and reshape the techniques to fit the situation and wear down a larger opponent.

Yellow (lightning bolt) denotes power... power of your spirit, mind and body; power that continues to develop and evolve with your training in
